The secret to good TV browsing isn't a trackpad — it's a focus ring. web2tv builds an invisible grid over the page and moves a highlighted focus ring as you press up, down, left and right on the remote. Every page becomes a list of focusable things, and the D-pad leads you between them.
The five buttons you actually need
- D-pad — move the focus ring between elements.
- OK/ENTER — click the focused element.
- BACK — go to the previous page.
- MENU — open the web2tv options grid (favorites, history, URL bar).
- VOL / MUTE — volume, everywhere, even fullscreen video.
One trick: when a page has a lot of links in a row (like a forum index), press up or down to jump between focus rings quickly instead of crawling element by element — fixes for the worst pages make this automatic.
